X-TERN architects + urban planners
Salvo Di Silvestro
Marco de Fonzo
X-TERN Architects + Urban Planners, based in Merano, Italy, was founded in 2001 by Salvo Di Silvestro, Marco de Fonzo and Giorgio Gottardi in order to research the fields of architecture, urban planning, graphic design, web design and visual communication with the aim of "promoting" the key-role of the architect in contemporary society.
The "flesh" of architecture -- the materials, is another field being investigated by X-TERN. The firm also believes in the exploitation of the potentials of new digital technologies and their applications. Salvo Di Silvestro and Marco de Fonzo are the associated architects of the firm since October 2005.
